Depends on the plan.
Some promos will sometimes give you added minutes or nights and weekends free for the term of your contract, in which case these options will either be removed or billed after said period. It really depends on the promos, ask the reps before you sign up.
Generally speaking, regular plans do not change after the contract is over and stay the same on M2M.

Like Papillon said, it depends how your plan is mounted.

Its important to understand the difference between the plan itself and the promos that comes with it.

By exemple: You could be on a plan that, by itself, gives simply 200 minutes per months for 20$ AND got a promotion when you signed up where you got EW and/or features like caller ID for free for the duration of your contract. If the contract has ended so has the promo. SOMTIMES the promotions are still available so you can call the provider and ask them. If so, they will simply extend the lenght of the promotionnal parts of your plan if you accept the sign a new contract (BTW: you dont really have the sign a paper and all the red tape, its only a verbal agreement over the phone). However if it was a one time promo then it is lost, in that case it might be good to call the provider and see what they can offer you.

On the other hand, you can have things like the plan that Dandan described (45$ 700 minutes + EW). In this case the promotion was the availability of the plan itself (AKA: this plan is available just for a short time) so both the minutes, the price and the EW is a integral part of the plan so they cannot change and you cannot loose it unless YOU request to change the plan. If you have any features with it for free (ex: message center and/or caller ID) they would no longer be free after the contract however.

So Dandan dont be afraid for your plan, it is a HELL of a good plan and you cannot loose it unless you request to change your plan.
