Volume using data cable and bitpim???

I just purchased the data cable for the LG6100 and downloaded Bitpim as many have instructed to do. I do not have any problem transferring my MP3s as ringers to the phone, but my volume is a lot lower than the ringtones I downloaded from Get it Now. Anyone have any suggestions or can tell me how to increase the volume. Does changing the mp3s to midi files help? If so, how can I do this? I am not a whiz at all this...I just noticed the other ringtones are midis and my downlaods through bitpim are mp3s......thanks!

You can increase the volume of many audio files by using a variety of audio converters and encoders. It sounds like you already have such a program if you are making your own mp3s. If the volume of your mp3s turn out too low, try adjusting the volume setting in your encoder. If there is no setting like this in your program, try a different one.

What program would be a good program to use? What program do you use? I use BitPim and some of the songs are low and some are really loud, but there is no option to adjust the volume. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thats because Bitpim wasnt designed to be a mp3 editor, though the ability to crop was added (I dont use it though). I use dBAudio (old school version with no limitations before they started charging for the program). But search the forums or download.com or yahoo for free encoders/editors. Most have a volume feature.

Yeah you can edit the volume with Soundforge. I use it to make my ringtones.
