you know when you purchase a tone from vtext.com, and it comes in a text message? has anyone figured out how send a custom tone to ur phone through a text message! this is for the vx3200

You can not send your own ringtones via text message to a vx3200. You need a usb cable and software.

thats sux! cuz my friend has this phone and he orderes his tones from verizon wireless's ringtone site and the tone comes in a text message and i thought someone figured it out! **** sux!

Your friend orders them from VZW site, but you are just not able to do this for your own custom made ringtones.

You can send custom made mp3s to your phone by using your phone's pix messaging email address. You need to activate it first by going to Verizon Wireless' website and then under the Get It Now section. I dont remember exactly where but it does work. There are other threads that discuss this.
