; I finally got it to work. This allows me to select the other cingular tag and use #121 again. With manual select I get the options all Cingular, I was assuming Tmobile might have been listed, I will try again later.|

http://www.logomanager.co.uk/php/do...php?action=more You have to have an IR or BT connection to your phone. Download the NkProfile3 archive. Install the demo of MobiMB. Connect your phone to your computer. Run NkProfile, wait for it to recognize your phone. Click on the settings tab, then uncheck the CSP box. You're done. You may have to restart your phone. Too bad that with the new SIMs all the networks are "Cingular." |

Want to know which network and strength etc. HELLP! |

One of the possible options for this flag controls only the name of the home system, but the option that Cingular now uses is the one that forces it to ALWAYS show the home system's name. Previously, they had it set up so the home network would always show as Cingular, while all others would show up as Cingular Extend. Both suck, IMO.
Sadly, there are only two ways to change this. One is to hack the SIM, either through the OTA update mechanism or with a reader. The other is to get a firmware load on your phone that doesn't support CPHS. In the past, finding that firmware wasn't hard, but these days, Nokia doesn't seem to put out firmwares for US-spec phones without CPHS. Me, I couldn't care less about the features CPHS allows, but Cingular does! ![]() |

Also, does this work on latest firmware 6230bs (5.50 I believe)? I'm thinking about sending my 4.43 in for an upgrade. Thanks. |
