Jabra BT500 (or BT800) on P900? Jabra says no

My HBH300's rubber ear section has finally broken to the point where only two wires hold it together. I'm using tape as a cheapo fix me solution until I can get another headset.
My question... I really want the Jabra BT500 however their web site says this unit is not compatible with the P900 (or T39 - my other phone). They also say that the BT800 is not compatible either. Is anyone using a BT800 or by some chance a prerelease of the BT500 with a P900? If it's truly not going to work then I will look at the 250v.
This was the response I got from their tech support:
Because the BT500 is an evolution of the BT800, and the BT800 is
incompatible with the P900, the BT500 retains the incompatibilities of
the BT800.

The jabra BT800 works with both my P800 and my P910a.
However, the caller ID function doesn't work in the P800, but works flawlessly in P910a.
I see that everytime that I use the BT800 in my P910a, the battery is drained much quicker than using a sony ericsson branded Bluetooth handsfree.
Don't know why.

I have a p910i and bt800 and everything works great but for answering calls with the bt800. It never answers the call from the phone. It rings and i can see the number but when i press the button it does not answer. Has anyone else had this problem? And if so how did you fix it?

My BT800 has the same problem like yours.
When somebody calls me, I press "Yes" button who correspond to "Answer" function and it do nothing.
If you press multiple times, sure it will answer but like 5 or 6 seconds after the call begins ringing.
If you press Answer from the phone, the call is taken in the phone. And then I just transfer the sound to the Jabra.
Other DIY is to put the Cell answer the call 3 seconds later since ringing starts and if you see in the Jabra is somebody you don't want to answer, just press "NO". Otherwise, just let the call get answered automatically. That's the way I have mine.
And no, jabra doesn't give a rock solid warranty. They just keep telling me that both the Jabra and the Sony Ericsson P910 are compatible.
alfadxb, did you have this problem like me? I feel that when I use my phone with bluetooth On and using with the Jabra, the battery consumes itself more quickly than normal.
For example, if I don't use Bluetooth (but some GPRS usage) the battery last like one day and a half.
But If I use the P910 with the Jabra the battery will not last not even One working day (from 8:00am to 6:00pm).
I try to use bluetooth on the whole day and it appears that the battery consumes quickly only when it uses with the Jabra. The Blue bluetooth light keeps flashing quickly, so I think maybe that can be a reason for the battery behavior.

If you are looking for a great headset for your P900 take a look at the Plantronics Voyager 510. Its light weight, very comfortable, and the sound is great. I’m using the 510 on my P910i and it’s the best headset I have had so far, and I have had three other BT headsets.

I've got the BT800 paired and mostly working with my P900. The voice answering and voice dialing functions work, but it doesn't do the caller ID or the "from phone" ring tone, which I would guess to be rings native to the P900. Does anyone know of software updates for the p900 that might make it more compatible.
Jabra's site says no, of course, but the manual says is updateable by software downloadable from the website. As yet, I haven't found any.
Cheers!
