downloaded some themes form lasyk network but ran into some trouble

after downloading and using it as my theme, my screen is in one solid color. not black, but the color of the background. i dont see the picture. this is only on the home screen. can anybody down it on there s710 and tell me if it worked? i hope nothing is wrongs with my s710.

reset the them by using the "bloc" (original theme from SE 710). then apply your theme from the lasyk.net. it should be fine now...

I have the same problem. Every other screen works fine except for the main menu screen. That one is blank (ie no background). Even switching back to bloc and back does not work... any other ideas?

Same problem. I applied the Bloc theme and even it has a blank blue BG.

Someone please help

Wow, congrats for searching rather than just posting! Have you tried the simple solutions such as powering your phone off then back on? Does it happen with all themes?

Yeah, I figured with a phone that is nearly two years old if not already two years old that someone would have encountered the problem already.

This occurs with all themes, and yes, I even powered down and back up...still nothing. I thought that I could try the Sony Ericsson Update Service but I don't have a cable to connect. I thought that it would connect via bluetooth, but alas it won't.

Any other ideas?

eeek. You may be out of options besides trying to update the firmware but with the older model SEs, it tends to be more of a pain in the booty.

I bet those older-style data cables aren't too expensive these days though.

If you're feeling adventurous you can try the master reset option. It's worth a shot but you'll probably lose some stuff like ring tones, themes, pictures and other stuff that was not from the SE factory.

This happened to my s710 also. In my opinion it is just a glitch. It happened to me when constantly switching themes. Turning phone off/on & switching to a animated theme always worked. then you can switch back easily.

Yup, it wound up fixing itself after I switched between the themes that were preinstalled on the phone.
