I was searching for a new V551 cheaper than retail when I came across this site.

www.lostmyphone.com

They sell new phones (lots of them) for decent prices; unlocked as well as locked (variety of carriers available). I initially wanted to buy a phone outright (for less than $250) so I could go without a contract locking me into a year or two of service. I just ended up going with a 1yr contract locally to get the phon for $100 since this site was out of stock with the V551's. Anyways, I figured I would post it for those of you who are looking for phones & can't seem to find one in your price range or unlocked...or even one locked to your carrier.

They have a pseudo link to "new plans"; what I mean by pseudo is that it's displayed, but there's no link, so I'm assuming they are in the process of getting themselves set up to be a dealer for cell phone plans.

They have some good prices too.

those are really good prices actually, better than prices cingular offers on no-contract phones in stores.

and is anyone sure they are brand new phones and not refurbs??
....(how are they making anything off of these phones?)

I would guess refurbs since they only have a 6 month warranty.

3. Q-Are these phones new? A-All phones listed on our website are new unless other wise stated.

4. Q-What is a Carrier Return? A-Occasionally, we have used phones listed, but these phones can only be found when doing a specific model search in our search engine. These phones will clearly say Carrier Return in the title. Carrier returns have few scratches if any and come with thier OEM box, manual and home charger. If you have any specific questions about a certain model, please CONTACT US.

So, apparently, the phones are new unless it specificaly says otherwise on the Web site.

According to the site, the v220 doesn't have 850, I thought it was a quad band phone? Great price for it. I really want to get the g70 for my mother, she'd love it, but I'm weary about how the 1900 band operates in the Houston <-> Alvin area.

they certainly have some interesting phones on this site.... panasonic x300 with flip out screen...where in the world did that thing come from ... was it to ugly for stores?....never the less a good site

also check out the panasonic G70..... what where they thinking....pocket watch i guess........wow

Better watch out, not all of the phones in the Cingular section have the 850 band... the x300 doesn't have it, for instance.

Why does the x300's screen flip out? It looks like some birth defect.

My guess would be for self photos/videos.

flip out screen.... camera mode (view finder) is my only guess... unless they just wanted to make it easier to break so you can get a nicer phone faster.... jk..... the x300 is a supermodel compared to the G70

Ah, I see, the camera is on the left side of the phone.

"This uniquely-styled GSM world phone is aimed at female buyers."

No.... you're kidding right? It looks like a box of birth control pills.

im pretty sure i dont know any girls that would actually carry that phone...they might say its "cute" but never use it ... whats with the pointy thing/top....is it like a necklace.... im sorry im amazed at how ugly this phone actually is that i have wasted the last half hour on it... pathetic.... but i bet there is someone out there that likes it

btw... we were right with veiwfinder....
"camcorder style phone"....

I already got myself a V551 last week. Rather than buying it outright like I had wanted to do, I just went with a 1yr plan & ended up getting it for $100.

lol..or you can always do that

Cool site. My boyfriend was looking to buy a brand new unlocked V620, but everywhere was too expensive. This place has a great price.

Thanks.

No problem.

I figured it may be of some help to some people, so why no post it.

They'll kill you with the shipping. $47 for Fedex "Priority" or $30 for insured "USPS Priority Mail"

ouchies....there goes the good deal...

Posted by: hylton

I'm happy w/ my purchase from LostMyPhone.com (so far)...but the shipping was excessive...I just bought an MPx220 yesterday, it's out for delivery on the FEDEX truck right now, should be here by 2-3pm.

They were very nice on the phone, very fast order/shipping...all of my shipping options (USPS, FEDEX, and FEDEX overnight) were w/in $3 of each other...basically $250 for the phone, $35 shipping, and VA sales tax...

Anyway...for what the devices on EBAY are going for $250+ and in some cases over $300 (usually w/ some added bonuses), I opted for this b/c of the 7-day return policy. Some EBAY sellers offer return periods, but to be able to use my CC for protection as well as not liking to deal w/ EBAY and the delays possible there, I'm happy.

Chris
