Hi, I'm thinking about getting a N-gage but I had some questions I was hoping someone could answer.
1. I have an AT&T cell phone right now, I bought it through my work so its a business account, I checked with Cingular/ATT and they said its still technically an AT&T account. So if I get a Cingular N-gage, will my Sim card work in it?

2. If not, I can get the N-gage unlocked and my AT&T sim card will work in it correct?

3. How does the multiplayer access on a Cingular network work? Does it count as anytime minutes? If I don't have an internet plan does that mean I can't play on the N-gage arena?

Cingular Ngage will be locked to Cingular therefore will not work with AT&t sim. To answer your questions.

1) Cingular Ngage would probably not work with your AT&T card.
2) Your AT&T will work when your ngage is unlocked.
3) I think cingular will charge you for data(internet charges)if not anytime minutes(airtime minutes) If you don't have an internet plan you may still be able to play on the ngage arena cause your just using data(internet charges). You will have to find out the pay per use charges if they allow it.

Final words, the only difference is that having an internet plan you can play ngage arena without paying for it the pay per use rate which i think should be more expensive than the plan----->that's why they have plans, hope that helps.

use tzones...they have a plan that is made for ngage at like $5 a month? **** americans always get the better plans

Thanks for the quick replys. I checked with ebgames and they only have cingular n-gage's left. I have some credit there so I'd like to buy it there. So I guess I'll start looking for somplace to get it unlocked, it looks like there's some places on Craigslist that'll do it for $10.
The $5 tzones would be nice but it looks like I'm gonna have to go with cingular. I'd really like to be able to play on the arena without getting charged per minute. Is there a way to connect to the arena using Bluetooth? If i'm near a computer that's online can I then connect to the computer via Bluetooth and then play on the arena?

Well, I got the N-gage and took it to a nearby cell store to get it unlocked. They couldn't do it for some reason, tried twice and the phone is still locked. How many chances do I have to unlock the phone? I'm thinking about trying an ebay auction, does anyone know how reliable they are?

Kinda weird cause when I bought mine, it had the tmobile software but it was unlocked to any provider...hmm...but that was awhile ago they may have changed it since then.

I bought two N-Gage QD's from my local EB two weeks ago and unlocked them 1 2 3 with no problems both on the first try. If anyone needs help let me know and I will get it unlocked for them.
