finally the monsterpack is here. Make sure you have 6CR or 6DR on your phone first before you flash it or it wont work. Hopefully this will fix any problems people are having with applying the 48.88R. This is the latest and greatest you can get for the v635. you can find the 003 language pack somewhere on the forums made by analogtrigger if u want US English. Thanks to InDesign once again for bringing us the latest!

Is it ok to upgrade to this MP on a brand new unmodded V635 without any intermediate flexes? I don't want to have to deal with the problems others have experienced in upgrading....

Just flashed my new V635 with this, and my phone now thinks it's open when closed and closed when open. Also, the branding is still there -- how do I flex this thing? When I left the community, Monster Packs don't exist and it seems to be something "everyone should know how to use!" now. Trying to reflash now.

Reflash didn't work. I see the Hellomoto screen and my phone goes into "open when closed" mode (if you will). It appears to me that I need to flex the phone, but no .hs file is included that I'm seeing?

did u have the 6CR or 6DR installed before you tried this? what branding? also what do u mean by it "thinks its open when its closed" can u take a picture or something, i still dont get what ppl mean by that. I havent tried this mp yet, ive had it for a few days and wanted to try it before i posted by i never got around to it so i figured i would just post it. anyone else with results?

Unfortunately the guide I read made no mention of needing 6C/DR installed before going to 88R. I just used 6DR reflash after applying 88R and now I can't even get the phone to turn on. No keypad flash, nada. MFF sees the phone as connected but when I go to start the flash, it gives me a Flash Failed error after seemingly trying to create an Image File. The phone shows up in MFF as "S Blank Neptune LTE". Plugging into charger for now, but nothing is appearing so I don't know what's going on

With the flip open, the outter LCD display is on as if the flip were in the closed position.

With the flip closed, the inner LCD display is on as if the flip were in the open position.

OK, I just had a ton of fun. I ripped apart the p2k connector and shorted pins 13 and 14 to force boot mode. It worked and I flashed to what I believe to be 88R. However, reverse flip still exists! I'm debating my next steps. Anyone, suggestions?

oh god.. i wish there was some guide on what you need to do step by step and which versions to put on first before putting on the latest.. iv modded my v400 without any probs like a year ago when it was hot.. im receiving my v635 anytime and im not sure if im gonna mess with it at all as there is no clear description of which version to load in and in what order..

happened to me too, but mine works now
what I did was flashed it to 88R and screen was reversed. I left the flip open while flashing. Then I tryed flashing it to 6C and it died. My computer still recognized it so I had to flash it to 24R and it turned on. Then I flashed it to the MP 88R.
Flip was still screwed up even if I flashed it shut. So I flashed it with the flip open again and it worked

You need a flash tool; two that people have had work well for them are RSD-LITE or the MFF that is part of PST.

Neither is freeware, and no, you can't ask for links to stolen copies here (see the FAQs and terms of service.) The other alternative is to find someone with either the program or a "Smart Clip" (which typically comes with the necessary software) to do the job for you.

Once you have that, and a USB data cable, you have the necessary items to make it work....

Just make sure you have a full charge on the phone, or a REAL moto cable with a charger plug (so you can plug in the AC Adapter) as one good way to kill your phone is to have it die due to lack of power in the middle of a reflash.

Once the phone is flashed/flexed to what you want, you CAN edit the SEEMs and such using publically-available tools (the P2k series in particular.)

So, there have been no problems reported with applying this MP to a completely unmodded V635? If so, sweet! My V635 just came in the mail today and once I get home and get my hands on it, I think I'm gonna flash it to 88R.

you cant apply this monster pack fresh out of hte box. check to see what your firmware is, if its the 24_a one then u need to apply 6CR or 6DR first then you can apply the 88R

And for people asking if there are improvements, the flex seems a bit more stable and faster and the flash fixes some bugs i was having. This is the latestest and most stable for me so far.

Wow, that's way way too much work. Not to mention a few battery cycles (not really, but still).

I plan on posting in this thread and the super thread my steps, what went wrong etc. a little later.

Short version: Monster pack FULL 6DR, then monster pack FULL 88R. You're all set.

Yes it is. At least for me.
The result is a better reaction with the phone! Camera works great and the Mp3 player also. No more delays in it.

Thank you kdenninger and caponec. I will try to Google it. I also see why that .com is such a big deal. If it is, then HF sucks. But if it's an actual website for a direct link, then yeah, it's a big deal.

Just Flashed it Anyway ... WORKS GREAT.
One Thing what i've noticed: When i go to Settings ---> Phone Status --->
Storage Devices ---> Phone ---> Space: Total: 7131Kb ... With Monster Pack 6CR Total was: 11000Kb

Since installing this pack I've found setting Autoupdate for time/date doesn't work anymore. I edited the seem and the phone lets me make the selection, but the time/date never gets automatically corrected. It did with the last software I used. Anyone else experience this?

Another question: I find when recording video, it automatically stops at 5 minutes (I've set it to maximum). I've read posts claiming it's unlimited. Can other people record past 5 minutes?

There are TWO settings you must update to get autoupdate to work.

You changed one of them - go look for the other one (I don't recall it offhand, but its in Xlr8s list)

One turns on the menu, the other actually turns on the feature.

Now, any idea how to turn off the display own phone number at startup? I found 3 seem edits in Xlr8s list but haven't been able to figure out how to turn it off...

I just updated my phone to 88R, and now the Edge icon, on the outside display, looks like absolute crap. It has a white background and just well..Looks aweful.

That's weird... I actually 'like' the edge icon on 88R... it's actually in color, with a white border. The old icon on my previous firmware was a brownish color, with no outline, which tended to blend in with every background that showed on the outer display (making it near impossible to see).

The color one is much better IMO.

But, to each his own I suppose.

This is an old question, but has anyone been able to confirm true unlimited video record for 88r? I'm on 6FR and was recording someone taking their Oath of Attorney yesterday when the damn thing stopped after about 4,900 kb. very obnoxious. I've got the settings correct, so the only thing I can guess is that it's a firmware or SEEM problem.

I'm not sure about 88R, but I can confirm Unlimited video recording. I'm also on 6FR, but the problem is a seem. To get unlimited go here http://www.motomodders.net/Default....g=posts&t=10199 , download the edited seem and then upload it to 004e_0001 using P2Kman. Supposedly the quality isn't as good (I really can't see any difference at all)...and when was it that great to begin with?

Or you can go to settings and change it to "English"
