Hi everyone, I'm a noob here so if I posted this in the wrong section can a mod please move it?

I haven't been following the cell phone scene as closely as I used to so I would like to get a suggestion from everyone here on what cell phone to get. I am currently planning to upgrade my current phone maybe next month so here's what I currently have and what I'm looking for.

As of now, I am in the U.S. on Cingular with a Sony Ericsson P800. I plan to keep the phone for a couple of years so I want something reliable and future-proof at the same time.

I am looking for a phone that is quite similar to the P800 in that it can or has:
1) Play games (lots of them. especially ones similar to what the P800 is capable of.)
2) An external memory card for added space.
3) A screen of at least 65K colors (preferably more but don't really care about size)
4) Bluetooth
5) Triband
6) $500 max limit
7) Apps
8) Video
9) GSM compatible

I have been looking at the P910i and I really like it a lot but I don't really know how much of an upgrade it would be from a P800. If any one who has a P910i coming from a P800 and would like to post some pros and cons that would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

The P910 is a pretty decent upgrade from a P800.

The main issue for me is memory. The P910i has 64MB onboard (up from 12MB on the P800?) and can support Memory Sticks up to 4GB (the P800 was limited to 128MB).

You also get a better software suite, a 262k colour screen and a mini-keyboard for your money.

Sadly, the camera hasn't improved though.

All in all, it's a worthy upgrade if you already use all of the features on your P800.

You can go with the P910...I also suggest the Motorola V635...From what i see, it meets all of your criteria...You should probably pay no more than $350 fo it with a 256MB TFlash card...Or go with a Treo 650...(about $400 with Cingular upgrade)

Thanks for the input guys. Keep them coming. I'm open to trying out different phones that meet the criteria I put up. I would really like one with a great community support too if possible.

i'd say an original n-gage but it doesn't have a 65,000 screen

I've just bought Motorola E680i.
Absoulutely fantastic!

Decent VGA cam
2g SD support
Clear speakers for rings and speaker phone.
Semi-PDA-Smartphone and the smallest PDA type phone.
html viewer(Opera)
You can play games in full screen horizontally
like holding a PSP.

What else... just amazing~
