alright. since there isnt a real thread on the cricket 8910 here it goes. btw dont leave your phone in your pocket at a party where your friends are drunk and there's a pool near by :/
just got the 8910 the other day so it was time to figure this stuff out again. looks like its alot easier to customize than the 8900.
first you have to get yourself setup.
1. get a data cable(im using the same one i had for the 8900)
2. get the drivers(again, same ones i used for my 8900). i use the curitel TX-95C drivers which still work smoothly for me.
http://www.curitel.com/english/download/pcsynch.asp
3. get bitpim. i use .7test8 due to the fact it was the last one that supported the 8900. works with the 8910 as well. select the 8900 from the phone list even though you're using an 8910

mp3 ring tones:
important note: i used the old tones i created that i had changed the file extensions to .mid vs .mp3. if .mp3 works could somebody please note it.
open the file directory in bitpim.
expand user/sound/ringer
right click on "ringer" and click "new file"...browse for the file on your computer and click on that file. then click open. it should start downloading on your phone.
on your actual phone go to Menu>4) Cricket Clicks>1)Cricket Clicks>then hit the CLR button on your phone.
you should then see the ringtone under Menu>5) Media Gallery>3) Tones(note: sometimes it takes a few seconds to register)
Pictures:
as someone has pointed out you can send yourself pictures through email via
YOUR10DIGITPHONENUMBER(6235555555)@mms.mycricket.c om
they will appear in media gallery and you will also be able to use them as wallpapers etc AFTER you download the picture and SAVE IT TO MEDIA GALLERY.
note: it seems like the same holds true for .gif animations. they appear in Media Gallery>Images>Animations
you can also send pictures from your phone by putting in an email address instead of a phone number in the "send to" box.
well gl all. probably visit next time my phone gets trashed

alright. verified that mp3's in their original format DO work. so no need to modify the file. i run 64kps 44100 mono. yeah the files are a little large ~180Kb but the quality is there :/
www.goldwave.com for anybody who needs a good free audio editor.
one other note. you CANNOT pix message to t-mobile customers and they cannot pix message to you. i tried it various ways and it didnt work. so i called cricket tech support and they verified the same. they said they're "working on it"

alright. either im retarded or there's no edit button on these forums x.O...lol edit: ok there is but it only shows up for this post i just made
anyways. just wanted to add 2 things....
you can send and recieve emails from your phone..
to send: go to 3)Messaging>2)New Pix Msg>your phone will want to take a picture at this point. just hit the CLR button once>in the "Send to" field enter the email address or you can "find" if you saved email addy's in your phone>just fill out the rest as normal and send
*NOTE: to reply to somebody that has emailed you...you have to reply as a "Pix Msg" otherwise it will not work
and for anybody to send you a normal email they just have to send it to the YOUR10DIGITPHONENUMBER(6235555555)@mms.mycricket.c om
as for games...well at this point there is not way to get games on your phone besides buying them. dont feel bad because anybody stuck with brew on their phone has the same prob....well until somebody cracks brew 2.0 anyways
