Red Light = Dead JAM?

I dropped my JAM today, and it wont turn on. I connected it to the USB to charge it incase the battery was dead, and the light is red. I am 99% sure this light was always yellow when charging, does red = dead jam, or just dead battery?

Ok, false alarm. after a few minutes on the USB my JAM woke up.
