Handfree head set

Does anybody have problem with the Siemens OEM head set. The voice quality on mine is terrible and most people think I am under water when I am using the head set. This is a second unit from Siemens and it was just as bad as the first with an echo.

hey there! i recently picked up an aftermarket piece from ebay and it works fine. volume is really loud halfway through and voice quality is fine - well at least i don't repeat myself all the time and the other end doesn't complain about my voice quality so i guess it's okay. i just thought i'd let you know. =)

lol, i bought mine off the streets of Hong Kong and it's pretty bad. I get yelled at by the people I talk to with it. While I hear them...LOUD and somewhat clear, they complain that it's too quite and can barely hear me. (Needless to say, I don't use it very often anymore. )

Mine works really well, infact it's the best headset I've ever had. I bought mine from a Cingular store for $30.

I bought the OEM version from HK... the one with the silver accents... it sounds great! Exceptionally clear and excellent volume. Any chance you got two defective ones?

Just got an aftermarket one and there's this horrible "humm"... very annoying!! Did I get a defective one, or..?

I had the same hmmm sound and feedback.

How much is the handsfree selling for in Hong Kong? I'm deciding whether to buy it here for $20 or wait till I go to HK in January and buy it there. I'll probably want the real one since stuff is cheaper in HK, the one for $20 here is aftermarket of course.

Thanks

If I were you, I'd wait unto January. It's only 2 months away and time flies... I only wish I could do the same as you. Let us know how much the headset is over there. I'm curious.

Well, it's not really the fact that it's two months, but it's illegal in New York to drive w/o a handsfree set now...But I don't drive while talking much anyway. So I'm going to hold off, I was going to purchase it on Ebay from some guy selling it, but I heard the headset he had was a piece of junk, so I'm going to try to get a real OEM one from HK. I'd bring some back w/ me and sell to you guys, but unfortunately I'll be in HK till May.

Great forum guys! Keep it going.

You're in NY? Ahh.... I rarely answer the phone while driving unless I have a headset. I might check who's calling, and if it's important enough, they'll call back. Plus, I can always call them back later anyway.

Even if in May, if you bring an extra headset back, I'm sure somebody would be interested on here.
