Yeh, I just saw this myself. I think I'm going to take back my 6230, which I've had for less than 30 days, and get a black V3. Insurance was the only thing holding me back from getting, or the lack there of...

Has anybody added this to their phone? I called customer care to add this to my wife's phone and was told that they do not insure the razr. Did I get a misinformed rep?

When i change the phone on my account to my V3, they didnt take the insurance off my account. Was this a mistake or they just didnt notice it????

that is excellent that you can get insurance on the v3

whats interesting is this: for nokia you cant get any insurance on these phones:

N90!! lol. even though cingular wont carry it, people will prob try putting insurance on it I guess

I just added it but they only let me add the $3.99 not the $4.99 complete equipment protection plan. Oh well at least I have insurance on it now

remember, you're covered up to 1yr from motorola. So if you need it to get your phone fixed just find a moto repair center near you.

Moto doesn't cover drownings or crushings last I checked though.

yes it is indeed tru just added the complete insurance to my black razr for $4.99 a month...dasupaman23 i dont know why they wouldnt let u add the full insurance which is $4.99 month, if they gave you the other one...did they say why they couldnt? just curious...

I don't know why either. The person I talked to said she just read the email. Maybe she didn't read it all the way or something. It's cool since I am still covered by Moto's 1Yr warranty. I only got the phone from cingular last month when the price dropped. I doubt I will have this phone for a year anyways

my biggest question is what about existing customers already in the second year of their contracts, such as though with v400's...can they add the 1.99 extra year warranty and take advantage of it, or is it just customers who purchase phones from here on out...i haven't asked anyone ie management yet, but i am curious about how fickle the insurnace/xbm will be with already existing phones...
