I know that if i unlocked the 3220 i have with t-mobile that it would work on cingular. I like the phone and would like to use it with cingular and i didnt want to buy another one. My question is would a corporate cingular store be able to flash my 3220's firmware to their cingular version? OR is unlocking all i can do?

i doubt cingular will flash the phones firmware for him...n correct me if im wrong, cingular uses the 3220b, and Tmobile uses the 3220(a)...so i think unlocking is all u can do...

I got a 3220 on eBay. It was originally from SunCom. I unlocked it, and then got Cingular's settings from here: http://www.nokiausa.com/support/settings/

tmobo's 3220 should be the "b" 850 versions

I have an unlocked 3220 from t-mobile and tried that site. The setting were sent tot the phone but I can not access the media net. Did you have to manualy input anything?

I tried the same site on my unlocked T-Mo 6010 and it will not work.
From what I have read here, T-Mo locks out these settings. Only a firmware flash will unlock the settings.
