Say...a question. How does one install this app on a Windows SmartPhone? I've never used a JAVA app before, though I know it supports them. And, won't this program measure only the efficiency of the JAVA interpreter, and not the phone itself? -- Chuck Knight |

In my particular case, if it makes a connection to the number I call, if the ringtones I uploaded work, and if my screensaver and wallpaper appear as desired then I'm a happy camper. Others may not feel that way. My motto is: "If it feels good, do it". While I totally support your learning how to do something new, I find posting ":

http://www.qualcomm.com/press/relea...01/press17.html I for one know my provider does not offer this, only signed brew applications through "Get It Now". Course, with Java being not natively supported, your program won't really give a result as to how "fast" the phone is, but rather how well the BREW Java VM was made and how fast it can translate bytecode. In the end, a pretty poor benchmark. Especially since right now the distributed BREW phone apps are designed to run perfectly on the lowest common denominator. So having a faster processor for these really doesn't matter. Seems more like an attempt to start a Digital Penis Size contest: MINE's Bigger than Yours! It runs all the apps exactly the same... but... this program says mine's better! Woo! Really, I don't see any other reason to be chewing on people who really can't possibly have any use for your software as of now. |
