K750 stero speakers

I am thinking if I should get a K750. I heard that it has stero speakers. However, I only see 1 hole for the speaker.
where is the second speaker?

Plus the speaker sound doens't really have bass. is that normal?
would a W800i firmware fix this "bass" problem?

Thank you

I've had the k750i for about a week and the sound is decent for a cell phone. I found that some of my mp3s will "peak" and the sound will get distorted... almost like my phone is screaming for help. And truthfully, it's not that loud. It sounds great in a quiet environment, but other than that the vibration function is very necessary.

@ icen - where did you hear this info? Post a link here! I've never heard of this.

I've got a K750i flashed to W800i and there is no dramatic improvement in sound quality thru the speaker only thru mp3 playback thru ear/headphones, where, IMO, the overall sound is slightly 'richer'.

I hope this helps ..

i think i might had my info wrong.. I read that somewhere a few months ago.

so it means that i have to convert the stero MP3 into mono before I downlaod it to the K750 ?

Not at all...the K750i will still play, regardless of stereo or mono.

thanks a lot man !! =D

don't convert to mono. i'll sound worse than stereo although it's a mono speaker.

How come there are so many post complaining about the sound not being loud enough.... Mine is VERY loud..... is there a patch of not so loud k750s out there or something? I do find distortion through the headphones thou but thats when its set to MegaBass setting - mainly down to the headphones i'd guess

I have had my phone for a month or so.

It was loud for 3 weeks the mysteriously started to sound like crap... This bothers me because it effects the ringer volume...

Anyone know what's going on here?

i only convert to mono for my ringtone, otherwise mp3 will just be change to 96 kbits and everything sound perfect... with the headphone of course..

Posted by: rabvtec

Why do you even bother wasting time changing ringtones to mono when the K750/W800 can easily handle tones, even if stereo? Yeah, I know that these phones only have one built-in speaker but it doesn't affect playback ..

Mono sounds absolutely attrocious... why bother converting to it?
If your phone suddenly starts to sound muted, isn't there a possiblity you might have blown the speaker or damaged it in some way?
I find the K750 to be significantly louder than my older phones (Siemens and Nokia).

ya, it 's quite loud.. i'm using R1L002
but the thing is, when a mp3 is used as ringtone, it added more treble to it when it's "ringing". kind of screw up thye sound a lot

W800/K750i//D750i does not have stereo speakers !
only one speaker!
What are your guys talking about ?

Posted by: malachakla

There are two, if you can count.
"Stereo" means more than one, and counting the handset loudspeaker and the speaker on the back of the K750i, there are two.

Yes, you are right! there are two!
but only one works at same time! it still not stereo

Posted by: rabvtec

@malachakla - although it may seem to have stereo speakers .. it does not (SE confirmed). Only one speaker for playback, although you may hear sound 'leakage' through the earpiece.

I just checked this.... my mistake!
The definition to me of "stereo" speakers is that there are two speakers....
I never thought that it would include playback, because there is a choice in the "Media Player" between stereo and mono.
Apparently that only applies to the MP3 file that's being played back, not which speaker is playing the mp3!
Sorry!

@malachakla - that's very decent of you, my friend, but there's no need to apologise!

Many have thought the same but you're absolutely correct in your last post. This will also help others.
