Does anyone know when we'll see any bluetooth 2.0 phones/headsets coming out?
Also, which current phones are using 1.2?

None of Cingular's line up uses 1.2 the nokia n series will have 1.2 as for 2.0 that is going tm ad in the near future. Hand sets will cost too much and most computers dont support it.

I'm not sure we will see Bluetooth 2.0 headsets anytime soon. I believe Apple laptops have Bluetooth 2.0.

Thanks for the info. I've never owned a bluetooth phone, so I've been reading up on it.
I definitely want my next phone to have bluetooth, preferrably 1.2.
These are the major enhancements in 1.2 that I found here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth
1.Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH), which improves resistance to radio interference by avoiding using crowded frequencies in the hopping sequence
2.Higher transmission speeds in practice
3.Extended Synchronous Connections (eSCO), which improves voice
quality of audio links by allowing retransmissions of corrupted packets.
4.Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI)
5.Host Controller Interface (HCI) support for 3-wire UART
HCI access to timing information for Bluetooth applications.
Also something called "Enhanced Inquiry" which speeds up discovery of
your devices.
