a few questions, hope you can help

1. what's the fastest mode of transfer b/w the three ways? (bluetooth, infared, data cable)...i've tried bluetooth and data cable and found bluetooth to be MUCH faster..although i've heard it uses more batteries...

2. does infared need a port from your computer like bluetooth ? (usb)

3. are there any 'good' bluetooth brands to look at for usb bongles i think they're called..and other specs?

4. HOW DO I TURN OFF THE VIBRATE/ SOUND when i finish downloading a file to the phone??!!??

thanks for the help

just bought s710a btw and LOVING it...

I believe your computer must have an infrared device installed in order to use infrared..,check Device Manager if u are using windows.

i c thanks for tip!!

iFROM my research

dongles range from: roughly 10 - 40 dollars off ebay

stores sell for around 30

there are 3 factors as far as i kno to look for (this is totally from my point of view, i'm really unfamiliar with bluetooth but this is all the knowledge i've gathered searching for a dongle)

Range: 10 - 100m ..just how far your bluetooth 'reception' area is.
USB: many accept usb1.1 and the newere ones accept usb2.0
Bluetooth: v1.1 or v1.2 dunno what the diff is but i guess the higher the number the better

i bought mines for 20 bucks v1.2, range 100m, usb2.0 maxed it out.

i've HEARD pretty much all bluetooth devices are compatable with dongles..

hope it helps

now if someone could answer my questions

i got a generic BT dongle off e-bay for like, $10. Tiny little thing just sticks into my use port, works perfectly with my s710a. kinda slow tho when xfering meg+ files.
