How to delete SIM contact numbers?

I do not see a way to delete numbers off the SIM card...but there must be a way, I'm sure. I see how to add a SIM contact....does deleting a contact out of contacts also remove it from the SIM? Then you could just put it back in through Outlook? If so, how do you tell if a contact is a SIM contact vs an Outlook contact?

Thanks.....

SIM management is a noticeable gap in this version of Windows Mobile. Outlook is completely unaware of SIM cards, it only manages stored items in phone memory.

The Start../Settings../Phone../Call Options menu has a check box for Show SIM Contacts. If it is checked and active, when you arrow up from the first contact listed on the Contacts screen, to (loop around to) the last contact, you will see a SIM icon, instead of the usual h, m, txt, etcetera that phone contacts are labeled with; assuming at least one SIM contact is found.

Two other options for managing SIM contacts in batch mode: 1)Load your SIM into a non-smartphone and use Mobile Phone Tools, or a similar program.
2)Search 'IA SIM Manager' and use the downloadable trial to mark, delete, or copy SIM contacts to and from phone memory. It's a little buggy, but it worked for me.

Yeah, SIM card management is an issue. When I transferred my old SIM card to my MPx220, it had a lot of contacts stored on it. My old phone managed the SIM fine - but now I no longer have that phone. One of the issues I have is on voice dialing - if it is stored in the SIM and has multiple numbers, when it asks which one, it does not distinguish between home, work, cell, etc........

Oh well........

I don't like keeping any contacts on my SIM.....unless I am going to use another non smartphone...which I rarelly do. Voice recontion does ask you "which number" when you use it.

I use the Jeyo Mobile Extender to do this.... you try the trial version and do everything you need to...
