Is there anyway to use the data cable to charge the v3 razr when connected to a computer, much like the Treo and Blackberry charges when connected to a laptop?

You just plug it in...at least mine charges when I insert the USB cable.

I am using the blackberry data cable. Maybe that is why it won't charge?

Actually, I got it to work. I had a flash from motox yesterday, and it didn't allow me to charge via cable. Now that I changed the flash, it allows me to.

USB is too slow to charge, IMO. I rather use the regular chargers.

anyone have any idea of the relative rates of charging, usb vs standard charger (that you get with the phone) and the "rapid travel charger?"

Moto claims the rapid charger will charge the battery in 120 mins, perfect for us impatient people...but it's 25 bucks off moto site, and if it charges so quickly, why did they bother making the slow one anyway? I feel ripped off =T

True, but it beats buying an additional charger for the office.
