I have a corporate discount with Cingular...
Today I was quoted these prices for these phones;

$200 for an SE s710a
$200 for a Razr
$180 for an Audiovox SMT 5600
$100 (after rebate) for Samsung P207

For the price and features, which phone would you reccomend? I'm most impressed by the s710 and the SMT 5600...actually leaning towards the 5600 because it is a smartphone...

Comments more than welcome.

Totally personal...im just exploiting my corporate discount...I'm sure i could find uses for any of them on their own...but i do have a NICE 13" sony vaio laptop, a 20gb mp3 player, and a 5.1 mpx sony camera...so im just lookin for a cool phone with good features (bluetooth a must) to go along w/my other gadgets...

For personal, the RAZR is great mainly because of its size and the bluetooth. S710 does have some nice features, but is HUGE! I would use the 5600 if you are using for work and personal.

5600 is small, very capable...id recommend it

cuz then you know if at some point you do want to expand your phones capabilites that you can, same for s710a
razr, you're basically stuck with just a phone
but if that that's what you're going for, then i'd say do it

any info on when any new SE's are coming to cingular? I have a huge affinity for them ; my first phone was SE T61d, loved it...second was T616, third was nokia 9290 (meh) currently using T68m [love old school] and I just broke a moto v80 (crap)...The k750 and w800 seem too much...but i like the look of the z520..or the k600, they're gorgeous...

so yeah...I really want a smaller phone with the same feature set as larger ones...making the 5600 or razr a better choice despite my SE love...I wish the premini or something similar came to US...that'd be great.

i hated my t616, HORRIBLE reception , absolutely horrible
but yeah i think the z520 is coming around christmas time?? dont quote me on that though
but i think your better bet is the 5600 since it's much more capable and small

yeah...the samsung is out (no BT) the s710 doesnt suit my needs anymore (my camera is amazing- its the dsc-m1...it swivels too) the 5600 seems my kind of phone cuz it is "smarter" and the removable memory is better too...

Right now im waiting to see if get an unlock code from cingular for my t68...if that happens, it will be a done deal and i'll order next week.

Audiovox 5600 it is...way too many features to pass up. My friend has a treo 650...but i just dont like it enough...touch screen/keyboard are nice, but im a pretty fast texter...T9 is good, and memory is nice too...so i cant use wi-fi...o well, i have a laptop for that. So long as i can get an NES emulator working, and a movie or 2...i'm sold.

Well, now I don't think I'm gettin a new phone anymore...Turns out that Motorola USA does fix v80's...well, actually they sent me a new one, but still...So yesterday I recieved a brand new phone, so I dont think i'll be buying another one anymore. I'm still tryin to sell my friend on a 5600 tho...he'd prolly like it cuz he doesnt have anything in the way of a pda/laptop in college...and i'm sure he could use one.
