Originally posted by LostTexan Wow, good find. I didnt read through all of it but I didnt notice any catches, such as you had to be employeed by a certian company or something like that. |
Time to pick one of these babies up.
There are other goodies in there but this kit is really for the people who want to design software. Codewarrior alone is around $300. I think it's a pretty good deal. Did I mention that there's a T-shirt and a BIG BLACK HARD CASE???
I wish they would have bundled a titanium case or at least a stainless steel one. It probably would have pushed the cost of the bundle to around $3000.
yuk yuk) Originally the Symbian OS went under the name of EPOC. The products were quite shortlived since the Pocket PC/Win Ce 4.0 OS came out. Many of the current Symbian users now will say that Symbian will be the next big OS for mobile telephony since it's more of an integrated solution than Pocket PC/Win Ce. Please don't flame the PPC formats or Symbian formats. Sure everything has problems every once in a while but that is life. For more info on Symbian please visit http://www.symbian.com .

Originally posted by [MDS] well this does not make sense, they say right on the page there that this is a pre-commercial version of the phone, so according to all said on these forums the final retail version arrives in jan/feb... so tell me what would be the point for them to send you a pre-release ver if the final version is out... so, logically if you order it, you should get it right away...

Originally posted by whtrbt7 I think that those people that bought the earlier versions of the P800 got their money's worth. If you think about it, the Pre-production P800s are rare and will probably be a collectors item. They also got the P800 before anyone else which seems to be a major plus. Unfortunately, it does not seem like anyone has really marketed themselves or their P800 effectively. Most of you should know, the global community is responsible for whether products succeed or fail. If none of us develop applications for the device, the market for the device will fall apart. If you like the P800 and you think that it would make a great consumer device or business device, please support it.

so now they will enjoy their 15 minutes of fame at an expense of 2k....

Originally posted by whtrbt7 Hey P800 fans, For those of you looking to get some return on capital, there is the code to cash contest run by SEMC. It's still not to late to enter. The last submittal date is Dec-7-02. For those of your living in New York, Florida, Mexico, or China you will not be able to win the prizes since SEMC is not accepting competitors from those places. There will be 50 winners and they get a P800, CodeWarrior Pro, and get their app placed on Handango. Cha-ching!!!! Unfortunately, you will get your prize in mid-January if you do win. |
