i recently changed the housing on my v400, everything works fine except the camera only shows snow, like on a tv. i have checked the insides out many times and i cant figure it out.

has anyone else ever had this problem or know what can be done to fix it? i was thinking about doing a master reset, but first i have to get all the names out of my phonebook.

any help would be greatly appreciated

has it occurred to you the camera may actually be defective? or the controller chip which is located on the LCD, so you would have to do some trial and error to find out

how could the camera be defective if it stop working after i took apart the phone? it worked fine before.

No ****, look at the first post, he said he changed the housing, he's asking for help to fix it not Dr. Obvious to diagnose why it broke.

check flex cable for tears and rips, check camera ribbon, check uif jack, check if shielding is touching flex conn., check for loose bga on back of lcd, that all i can think of. if u tried this already, then something got defective, possibly from static, or touching and can only be replaced to get it to work, try replacing camera, and/or lcd to see if problem goes away.
