I think that is a PPC you are talking about. You would find the answer to your question better answered in the PPC forum.

Well, regardless... how long will it take for us smartphone users I wonder? You think our carriers will provide upgrades?

For the SMT 5600 probably not since Cingular will be phasing it out. The MPx 220 may get it but I doubt it....if the MPx 220 is to get the WM5 upgrade it will come from Cingular more than likely and it will come at a price I am sure. It looks like Cingular may carry the Motorola Q and the new HP messenger PPC phones. You can read more about it here I trust the source of this information...this guy always comes thru.

I doubt most sincerely that the MPx220 will actually get an (official) WM5 update. I'm sure someone at some point has or will hack a version and squeeze it into the hardware of a MPx220, but from a strictly hardware point of view, the MPx220 doesn't have that "persistent memory" that WM5 really claims to need.

The Always Up To Date feature in WM2003SE works well enough for me that the push email feature in WM5 doesn't really hold that much appeal, and my phone already has WMP10 on it.

Yea I have been preaching the "no WM5 update on the MPx 220" gospel for a long time....I totally agree that the MPx 220's hardware is not desgined or able to take advantage of WM5. I think it will be a nightmare on the MPx 220 personally and I would much rather have a new device that has the hardware to take advantage of WM5....
