Your screwed. I havent heard of any1 who sells sidekick screens, or anyone who has ever succesfully replaced one.

Oddly enough, sending it back thru T-Mo's exchange program and paying the $70 out of warranty exchange fee is actually by far your best option. Insurance wants a $100+ deductible (and it's too late anyway). Screens are not really procurable unless you find someone with another broken device which has a good screen. Swapping the screen isn't hard, hardware wise, but then you get to a point where the IMEI label on the back of the screen doesn't match the internal IMEI of the device, making it impossible for you to get warranty service on this device as well as some other possible complications.

... replacing your sidekick screen is extremely hard... you gotta solder it. it takes time. I did it before.

I'm *assuming* you have T-Mobile service for the device. If that's the case, call customer care and talk to the wireless data group, tell them you broke your screen and you need a device replacement, and you understand that an out-of-warranty exchange fee applies. They'll send you a refurb SK2 device and take back you broken one, and charge you $70.

If you don'thave t-mobile service you can call your carrier and see what hey can do, I don't know what the other carriers do for out of warranty replacements.

Good deal. Like I said, amazingly enough the best deal is just to go through the regular out of warranty exchange. The device is hit enough that finding one cheaper on the open market is just about impossible.
