For some reason, I'm getting an error when I try to hot sync some songs on my expansion card. It's a 1GB card with 572.8 MB left, so my 5.62MB song isn't too big. The erroe I get is that it "could not create file on expansion card". What might I be doing wrong?

Try using this app.
CardExport II

It is always the best idea to get a USB card reader. When you want to install something on your Treo, you dont need to install the drivers and Hotsync software on the computer (say when your at a public computer or a friend's house). All you need to do is to put the files on your SD card and move it to Ram. It is also the fastest way for file transfer of any type and you can then access and add more even when you're not at your computer.

Ditto. I have a SD card reader also. However, the CardExport II does the same thing if you use newer versions pf Windows. Plug you Treo in, launch CardExport II and the Treo becomes a SD card reader. It is one less thing to carry and one less thing to lose when you are traveling.

Sweet deal. I didnt know because with my Clie, I use something simular called Data Export to access the Memory Stick on the PC and it requires a lot of setting up and stuff. One more item added to my shopping list!

As it turns out, looks like the 1GB SanDisk card is bad. Reformatted, and that initially solved my problem, but hours later the phone started running very slow. When I ejected the card and reinserted, it now says it's not a regognized format. Sounds like a bad card.

What kind of SanDisk SD card do you have?
