do any of the motorola phones have windows media player 10 on them?

i am asking because i want to know if it works with napster/yahoo music (the services use windows media player 10 DRM ) .

i know the audivox smt 5600 works with napster but would like to get a flip phone.

also has anyone used the mpx200 as a mp3/wma player with 1gb sd card? how well does it work?

i would like to get mpx200 cause its a lot cheaper than mpx220/smt 5600.

ROM 3.45 has WM10 for MPx220, and 1GB miniSD will work flawlessly!

The MPx 200 does not have WMP10 and if it doesn't have Windows Mobile 2003 on it then it doens't even have WMP9....

The MPx 220 only will have WMP10 depending on what ROM you are using. The 3.45, 3.46 and 1.45 Asian ROM's are the only MPx 220 ROM's that have WMP10 currently.

You will need to use WMP9 to play music from MSN Music....I had no problems playing music bought from MSN Music Store when I was using the MPx 200 with WMP9 and the MPx 220 with WMP9...it works just as good if not better with WMP10 on the MPx 220 with the above Asian ROM's.

EDIT: I had a 1gb SD card with th my MPx 200 and it played MP3's and WMA's with no problem. I am using a 1gb miniSD and it works great with WMP9 and WMP10.

thanks for your help.

i was leaning towards the mpx200 more cause its about $130 on ebay whereas the mpx 220 and smt 5600 are more like $250.

gonna do some more research before i finally decide to buy one of the phones.

While the MPx200 is a great phone, it requires a lot of tweaking to really make it up to par with today's smartphones. You wouldl be advised to find the Supermoto2 ROM for the MPx200 and install it on the phone (this will upgrade the phone to WM2003 and WMP9), and look on this forum and on the Modaco forums for the bass boost registry hack (otherwise your music will sound far too tinny).

Don't expect to get as good as battery life on the 200 as opposed to the 220. I'm not badmouthing the MPx200 entirely (I used one for two years before upgrading to my MPx220), but I know how much work it takes to get the MPx200 to really perform at its fullest.

I agree with a little tweeking you can get a lot out of this little phone.

get mpx220 its better then mpx200, it sucks that i cant use my mpx220 cause i cant find a place to unlock it in nyc =/
