Guys, I am too confused if I should go for Audiovox 5600 or settle down with 750i .. They both seem pretty good. In addition to the added features that each has to offer, I"d also be concerned w/ the reception quality. Has anyone any opinion on which is better? thanks much ..

SMT-5600 has a more open OS, better hardware, nicer screen, is able to use different programs for video and mp3 playback, has cheaper storage (Mini-SD) and has an open standard headphone jack (2.5mm) so you can buy a very cheap adapter to use it with standard 3.5mm headphones. Oh, and it has 850Mhz.
K750i has a nicer-looking and more user-friendly OS, nicer camera and is a better-looking phone. Oh, and it has a proper joystick.

5600 is a smartphone. The K750i is a high-end phone, but not a smartphone. The K750i reportedly has a great camera, but not as good as a standard digital camera. The 5600 has better email, contact and calendar functions.

I think Sony Ericsson has a nicer email interface - I haven't been able to get POP3 working on my SMT-5600, while it worked like a charm on the old T610.
Sony Ericsson makes very nice and intuitive interfaces for phones. They're great if you don't want to add more functionality.

it's hard to compare the two since they are completely different phones...it really depends on what you're looking for.
smt5600 is a smartphone...k750i isn't...
i've gone back and forth between smartphones and non-smartphones...and i have to say, even though i really enjoy the features and expandability of windows mobile, series 60, UIQ...i prefer the plain and simple phones as the k750i
