Audacity and MP3 64kbs rate setting in Lame

I have th elame driver and EXE in the Audacity Dir. How do I set it so then when I export to MP3 from within the Audacity Application, How do I set it to 64kbs?

Also once set how can I keep it at 64kbs or do I have to set it everytime I open Audacity?

I found it sorry. There is a setting for it in Audacity Preferences.

But I am still trying to figure out why my the project setting of 16000 is grey'd out.

I have tried everything. Uninstalled Audacity and re-installed it.

I think once I changes the project rate in the preferences it screwed something up.

Any Ideas?

Set it to 22050 instead of 16000. When you go to save the file, it will be 16000. I don't know why it does that, but it does.
