New Treo 650 and installing apps...

Have a new 650 and after reading all the great advice threads regarding apps, I'm a little confused. I have a trial of Agendus Pro I synced onto my SD card, but I notice people saying to transfer apps to card. Isn't it already on the card if I synced it that way from my Mac? Also, is that the right place (SD card) for everyday programs such as Agendus? If not, how do you put apps on RAM, if not just syncing it on? Sorry for the newbie questions, but I want to put the Treo through the paces before my 15 return policy is up in 4 days. Thanks!

since u are on a triel run, install the apps in main memory.

some apps dont like being on the SD. some apps have special instructions on what part of it can be on the SD card. some app need a third party app to make them run successfully off the sd card.

most data can be put on the sd card, if you put them in the right folder.

i have installed 34 apps on my treo 650, none of them are on the sd card. I have a little under 8000kb available.

Some of the apps are big (Snapper, verichat, pttunes, 2 movie players), some are small (snap, clock pop5).

I put all the data on the card when possible.

Since you are new, why add to the complexity by putting programs on the sd card until you know you have to?

I've installed over 120 apps on my 600. Over 100 of them are on the SD card. I have a little over 16000kb (61%) available. I use PowerRUN. I wouldn't put any apps on the card without some sort of program like PowerRUN to handle them. There's no particular complexity in using a third party program. The only apps I leave in RAM are those monitoring things like button presses, small utilities. I have over a dozen of these. With PowerRUN the apps on the memory card aren't run from these—they're copied into RAM for use when you tap on their icon. I don't want this to sound like an ad for PowerRUN—there are other apps that work much the same way and perhaps better. I started with PowerRUN so I'm used to it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Symbian OS; UIQ; 316) Opera 6.31 [en-US])

programs with alarms don't go very well on the sd. i use agendus pro and when i use powerrun its slow so i just leave it in the ram.
