Is is possible to configure the phone to connect to the internet via bluetooth (to a bluetooth enabled PC).

There are lots of tutorials on going the other way... I would be interested in knowing if I can use my PC's internet connection to surf without purchasing a data plan from Cingular.

Just for simple surfing, checking email around my house.

First my question - 'why in the world would you want to surf the net using your phone, when you have a PC within 30 feet of you?'...... But anyways...there is no way to do that -your PC could provide the COM service required for that, but your phone would not know what to do with it......

when you plug in the phone go to settings data connections and click on the first one and change to active sync passthrough. now when you try to use the web your g icon wont come up but you will be able to use your dsl or cable on your phone

of course it can be done. but you need a dial-up ISP. you connect it to your computer and it works a bi faster than a dial up. i've only done it using a Mac but i recently saw a video on cnet where it was done with a PC

correction: i thought it could be done with a mac but it didn't go as smoothly as i thought, sorry for the confusion
