I've had an 8910 for a few months now... great little phone... not the best digital camera in the world, but takes some good shots... (upskirts at walmart rock, lol)

Phone comes with 5.5MB onboard RAM for BREW apps, ringers, and images.

The camera takes 3 different picture sizes... 640x480 (no zoom), 320x240 (1x and 2x zoom), and 160x120 (1x, 2x, and 4x zoom)

With the data cable, and Verizon service, you can upload MP3 ringtones, JPG/PNG/GIF images, and download all the pictures from the camera onto you comptuer without paying the 25c charge.

The "recent" calls (press the call button at home screen) stores the last 60 incomming and outgoing calls for easy retreval. I belive the max contacts is 250 (each contact includes home, cell, pager, office, fax, email, notes, wireless address (a web URL) custom ringer, custom TXT ringer, custom graphic for incomming call, and a short memo section).

Utilities on the phone include a Scheduler, Alarm Clock, calculator (really easy to use...) stop watch, and world clock.

The phone is sturdy... I've dropped mine a few times... have some scratches on the faceplate, but still works fine... the vibrate feature is a little overdone... thing is more powerful than the one's you get at the "toy" store... don't you hate it when your at work, someone calls, and you have it on vibrate and you get a huge woody? lol

I've put this phone though hell the first 12 day's I had it (was shipped to me, so an extra day to ship it back was needed), and it held up pretty nice... my dad has the same phone, and he's a truck driver, and has recomended it to all his co-workers

All in all, I give this phone a 7.0 (1 being the lowest (nokia 5185i) and 10 being the highest (the cell god uses)

if you get it all boxed up, it comes with the plastic belt clip holster thingy... and it's not a cheap made one either... really nice quality...

I live in a basement apartment, with no windows, I get 2 bars (plus, I live next to an airport... littereally... my back yard is 300ft away from the TarMac)

For Verizon, maybe, but not Virgin. Virgin only provides the charger and booklets.

There are a couple of online retailers (daydeal, yescomusa etc) that offer cases and faceplates for the 8910. In fact you can get a clamshell case that comes in a few colors (even pink for chicks). I've just ordered 2 myself, and I'll let you know if they're good or bad when they arrive. (They were the best I saw)

On another note, the 8910 has an external antenna jack on the back. Does anyone know specifically what type of connector that is?

Well, he asked about the phone on Verizon... not Virgin Mobile...

as for the external antenna... you have to buy it direct from your WSP... but it won't give you much extra signal unless your in your car (it's a car mount system)

I was griping about Virgin there, not correcting you.

I didn't ask for an antenna. I asked what type of connector it was. I'm into Wi-Fi, and have built antennas and pigtails myself, but I'm used to used RP-SMA, N and MMCX connectors. This is one I've not seen before.

I hope someone can fill me in.
