What phone for Verizon upgrade?

We have 2 LG VX3100. Battery life isn't very good and reception could be better. Our agreement with Verizon is up this month. We are going to stay with Verizon so we are considering upgrading our phones. Not sure yet if we're willing to sign an agreement.

Here's what I'm trying to figure out:

1 Best place to upgrade the phone
Call Verizon,
Verizon store,
Verizon website.
Buy one outright and bring to Verizon to have it programmed - is this an option?

2 Good phone that works with Verizon - we want
flip phones,
good reception don't need any bells and whistles.
size of the VX3100 is good - would deal with something slightly larger.
No need for pics, music, color etc.
Ringtones would be nice but not necessary.

Any suggestions?

The E815 looks great but we wouldn't use the camera, video, pic messaging etc.

Um, do they even make phones without a camera anymore? I agree that stuff is silly, but you almost have to get it anymore.

probably not. I realize the phone I end up with will have features on it that I don't want or won't use. I don't see the point in paying more $ for the latest IF there is another flip phone with good reception. Is reception on the E815 that much better than any other Verizon phone - if so

then that's what I'd look at.

Check out the LG VX4650 it gets great reviews and it doesn't have all the bells and whistles that you won't use.

Thanks! This looks like exactly what I'm looking for and if I decide I want a full duplex speakerphone looks like the 4700 has that.

4650 all the way its basically the 4700 without ptt and the speaker phone on it is awesome thats the best non camera phoen out right now
