to get the latest firmware: use SEUS. make sure you install the necessary drivers. also, make sure you have the latest version of java and disable all firewalls/antiviruses/sypware stuff. it may prevent SEUS from loading. if it says your provider doesn't allow you to use it, then your k750 is probably branded by vodafone or something and they don't allow you to use it. you also need to have a RED firmware (final production firmware). if you have a BROWN (developer) firmware, you can't use it. for those of you who flashed to w800 and have R1K, too bad for you. also, you need to have the correct CDA's in order to use it. this will only apply for people who debranded their k750's.

to debrand: go to www.davinciteam.com. click instant log accounts and buy one log. (you don't have to do this right away; you can install everything first)

download davinci software and install the SEUS driver if you haven't already.

start the program. click the flash files tab. select the firmware you want, then check "download main firmware" and "download file system flash". then click get files. then it will start downloading (note: Hongkong and EU3 will have shutter sound; don't think AMERICA can use SEUS(k750 not in USA), others should be fine). after downloading, click on the flash tab.

in the MAIN box, select the file you just downloaded with "MAIN" in the filename in it and place it in the MAIN box. under the FS box, select the filename with "FS" in it (you should've downloaded two files in total). check the checkboxes beside where the files are. select the CDA that corresponds to the firmware you just downloaded. then check finalization (make sure you have your credit; don't have to finalize yet, you can flash it first to see if anything goes wrong then finalize). also, check customization if you want to add additionals european languages.

click flash. it'll tell you to turn off your phone, then hold the C key, then attach usb cable. do that. then it'll start flashing. it won't use up your credit until the finalization stage, so you can flash it numerous times to ensure that the flash part doesn't fail, then finalize it. you can't use the phone if you didn't finalize it.

see see this thread from esato and look for synagence's post for what the abbreviations stand for.

davinci sells logs for 10euro (approx 12-13 dollars us). look in the esato thread for someone named 619. pm him. he sells it for about 5ueros (about $6 us) the above can all be done for one log.


also, davinci doesn't unlock. and if you're scared you'll screw up your phone, check the marketplace if you live in NA.

You can use Disc2Phone software to search for music on your computer or audio CDs, convert your existing audio tracks to MP3 format, and copy tracks to a Sony Memory Stick for listening on your Sony Ericsson phone.

Easily convert change the bitrate of ur mp3, example from 192kbits to 128kbits or 96kbits for more songs storange and still have great quality.

Should work for k750i since theres no hardware difference between that and w800i.

I think people have a few problems converting video.
http://www.artech365.com/ and download mpeg4 direct make. Now you convert essentially all the different video format into mp4. Just remember to resize to 176 by 144.
www.mp3-converter.com This site has lots of programs for converting different fortmats into mp3 and wav.

ok, i think the Cingular MMS/Wap settings should be taken down and replaced with this:

1. Can the phone watch fullscreen videos,if so what resolution ?

- Yes the phone can watch fullscreen videos, in 176x144 resolution maximum. Theres many programs can use to convert video ex. ImToo3GP, mpegable x4 live, PVAuthor, or u can use this guide by Spawndk.

2. You know when you take a pic with the K750i photo light (flash), as you're about to take the pic, the light becomes WAY brighter. Is there some sort of program or hack to be able to have the light that bright all the time?

- The answer is simply no.

3. Should I update my K750i's firmware?

- Yes, if ur current firmware is R1A, R1J, R1L. New firmware will improves reception, better (proven) video recording, pictures quality slightly better, voume is louder on headphones and earpeice.

4. i was wondering if i could re-use my memory stick duo from my s710 to use it on a k750 even tho the k750 take the duo PRO.....will it work?

- Yes it will work, memory stick DUO size under from 64MB-128MB is the same size is PRO DUO.


5. anyone use the mxe-60 flash with the k750i ?

- Yes, the external flash is very bright, bright enough to take pictures in complete darkness without noise in pictures. Example here http://www.meogee.com/showthread.php?t=3230.


6. What is the benefit to upgrade to w800 firmware ?

- You can listen to music while phone is off, better mp3 player menus, Walkman icon instead of Media player. Everything in the phone will be lost if upgrade fw, currently theres no new fw on w800 yet, still R1K.


7. How can i disable the shutter sound when taking pictures ?

- well before u open the camera lens, press # to turn on silent mode, then when u take pictures, there will be no shutter sound. If ur firmware is HONG KONG, it will play shutter sound even if it in silent mode, best way is to use Davinci siteand change ur firmware to different region like CHINA or EUROPE.


8. How can i unlock/debrand my phone ?


- Use Davinci or Total Multi Server

9. How do i put game, theme, applications, music on the phone ?

- For games and application, both have to have extension of .jar or .jad, the transfer them to memory stick folder called "Other", then install them on phone's menu. For themes, move them to appropriate folder "theme" on memory stick. For musics and videos, i suggest use the folder "audio" and "video" instead of "MP3".



10. What is the WAP, MMS, Email setting for the phone ?

I have the theme called shocker for my K750i, it is my favorite one but i have a problem with it:
When trying to insert a smiley into a txt msg, i have to guess where i am selecting because the selection colour is the same as the background (white).
I cannot fix it myself as i don't have XP to run themes creator.


Would some kind soul do me a massive favour and change this colour to grey or whatever (your choice)

Question about the K750i. My K750 died a few days ago. It doesn't really boot up, it just turns on and shows a white screen. Nothing else happens, I requested an RMA but I havent shipped it back yet. I'm wondering if anybody else had this or is there way to fix it. Also, I don't know how to do a hard reset for this phone. Is there a way to hard reset it if it's not able to boot. Like a combo of buttons to press like with Motorolas.

What theme the shocker or what? You need to be more specific as there are a few referenced themes in this thread.
If you mean the shocker theme then look more thoroughly, it is near impossible to see the selection of smilies selected.

Anyway i got no offers to help you miserable shower of sh.its, so i got a different one. Wont be offering my support here any longer unless by pm.

just change the extension .zip to .jar then copy the file in your "other" folder, then from your phone select the file in the "other" folder an the phone does the rest.

You can make Windows extensions viewable, then just rename it to like 'game.jar'

I had the problem with my games before, I never knew they were .jar but they always opened in WinRAR.

i thought it would be easy, i ebayed a 2gb pro duo, still waiting for it

but im using s friends psp 32mb

i added a song to the card via memory card reader(drag and drop)

went to mediaplayer>all music, and i found nothing there, no help there i guess

any advice?

hi there,

I was hoping to get some help with my k750i

I was able to convert videos into 3gp videos and play them on the phone but for some reason, I can't seem to get the audio to work. I have other videos that i have converted previously with another computer and those work fine, so there is nothing wrong with the phone. I use mpegable as the converter. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have a gut feeling that my audio/video codec is lacking.

hi all...
i kinda in the middle of problem here..
my k750 did not turn on after i flash my phone to change the icon.. my friend said that i have to find the original firmware to restore back my phone so please please help me. and where do i can get that firmware.. hope any1 can give me the solution
