One touch dialing for the A102

I have T-Mobile. For some reason (which i didn't program), if you hold down '1' it will dial to VM like a T-Mobile branded phone. If I try to add a sped dial for other numbers it doesn't seem to work. I will hold down the number, and it will bring up the name that i want to call, but you have to hit send to make the call, vs. automatically dialing VM when holding one. Why does this happen?
