Hp 6500 Is Coming Soon...

I was in my local Cingular store today finding information on the Black Razr and then I looked up and saw a poster with the HP 6515 Mobile Messenger thingy... I asked the Cingular guy about it and he said he didn't know anything about it. He didn't even know when it was coming out...

Does anyone know? It seems soon..

I know it our store its on our phone list and if you look on the current rebate forms it lists it, but as far as a date goes, I have no idea, I would like to see it soon though.

(To the OP), you would amazed at how difference a question mark(?) makes, as in the title of the thread. I thought you were giving information about the release date, not asking.

Cingular should have the HP 6500 in stores soon because they have the posters in the stores. In theory yes... But remember Cingular is the same company that sent a magazine showing the Sony Ericsson z500 months before it came out.

Basically i was stating that the phone was coming soon as I said in the tittle of the topic "HP 6500 Is Coming Soon..."

I have searched every possible avenue to find a release date for this phone. It seems to be invisible. The only way to get one now is ebay for 600-800 dollars. I confirm the poster, phone list and rebate form, but I still can't find any other info. Thanks OP for getting my hopes up

David Ciccone at davesipaq.com has posted a news item regarding Tuesday, Oct. 18, which most likely means the HP hw6515 will be on sale then. He does not come out directly and say it, but that, in my opinion, is the clear intention of the news post. He says get in line at the Cingular store. He is a very conservative guy and does not like speculation, plus he is an Ipaq evangelist, so between not posting speculation and his site geared towards Ipaq, one has to assume that it is the 6515 he is talking about. I do not see anyway it could be the 6700 series since HP has said they want to get rid of the inventory of the 6515 before releasing the 6700. Here is the link:

A poster in a store doesn't mean s**t. The Cingular corporate store near me had this very same poster hanging on their wall 2 months ago, and after being bombarded with questions about when this phone was actually going to be out, they took the poster down. I think the fact that they put it up in the first place, knowing absolutely nothing about the phone or it's release, was quite stupid.

That being said, I happen to know exactly when this phone will be out........

It will be out when it is out. Not a day before, and not a day later. If you want a poster of it, you can get one now.

It does seem pointless to have a poster up if you dont know when it is coming out... I flat out dont put up point of purchase advertising unless I have or can get it for the customer...

Maybe they should have locked or deleted the previous threads. I was just trying to help out and let previous posters know about the release in case they were not subscribed or looking at other threads. If you want them deleted or closed please contact the moderator. Thank you.
