VX3300 + Data Cable... anyone?

I bought a USB Data Cable from someone on Ebay that was supposed to
work with the VX3200 HOPING I would get lucky... but it doesn't work.

It will charge, but no data. ANyone have this phone?

almost all of the usb cables on ebay for the vx3200 do not work with the 3200 because they don't have the proper circuitry. you'll need to send it back. also complain to ebay about the seller because TONS of people on here have bought those cables yet they keep selling them

the vx3200 needs a serial cable or a USB-to-serial cable to work correctly, not just a USB cable

here is a serial cable made by lg.. i have this cable and it's great no drivers needed just plug into your serial port and load up bit pim

Ahh shoot... thanks for the info!

It is a straight USB cable because even though there is
a little box mid-way up the cable, it is simple pass-thru
circuit board.

The cable from Susteen does work with the vx3200.

But let me qualify that statement - I have a working cable, I have accessed
the file system... I have NOT figured out how to add any custom content.
Not even a measely ringtone! I am wondering if this VX3300 isn't WAY
different than the VX3200 (and I guess why shouldn't it be?)

Anyhow, the Radio Shack cable referenced on another thread here for the
VX3200 works...

future dial cable #19 (radio shack id, #1700792)

...I had to file down a bit to get the tabs to slide in, but it works.
