Treo 600, move to 650 or P910a?

Well I bought a used Treo 600 to see if I would use all its features or some of them. I do and then some so now its time to upgrade. Should I go with the Treo 650 or SE P910a? I have to admit I like the one hand operation of the Treo's. I've used my brother's P900 so I noticed this immediately. I noticed on Expansys that the Treo 650 and P910a are priced the same.
I guess my biggets issue with the Treo 650 is the sound issues. I have a hard time hearing with the 600 sometimes......just wonder if the new updater 1.13 on the 650 makes improves on this? The sound issue is the only thing I hate about my Treo. :-)

PS I also posted this in the Palm section.

more memory, more stable, easily install apps on the memory stick without the need of buying an app to do that.

oh yea, the thumb board on the P is easier than the Treo.

Hey man, I've just switch from windows mobile 2003 (Smartphone)

I really recommend you P910. It is a really well done cellphone.
I had the Treo 650 and is really good but the OS reset everyday, sometimes deleting all my contacts and I have to wait to get to my home to resync again all my contacts cause I dont have a backup in the office.
If you can live with that, with the sound issues and with all but the headset profile in the bluetooth option blocked, then go ahead with the Treo.
If not, just go with the P910, it will no disappint you.

I have to say.. go with the P9xx! The Treo is a piece of crap. I just got a 650 that replaced my P900 (handset insurance, they didn't have a P9xx for me). This is one of if not the worst phone I've ever owned. The P900 was rock solid vs. the 650. This 650 crashes, hangs, and reboots all the time. Sometimes as much a 3 times a day. I have updated the firmware and have the default apps and still it crashes. Plus the speakers have low volume and the reception is not a good (even though it has an antenna).

I want my P900 back!!!!

like spjonm3 say, the Treo Palm OS keeps resetting itself, sometimes hard resetting itself.

That's one thing you never see in the P910.
I really like Microsoft OS when I had the iMate SP3i smartphone but I feel Smartphone too limited. PocketPc phones are good but battery doesnt last more than a few hours.
Now with the P910 I do a lot of talking, normal GPRS usage and last like 1 day and half to 2 days, which is really good.
Bluetooth is not blocked as Treo 650, so you can send or receive anything inside the phone via this way.

Yer posting this on the PX00 forums, what do you expect?

I would recommend passing on the P910. It's slick, sounds nice, has a nice feature set, BUT...
-Memory stick transfer speeds are worse than old school floppy disks
-Syncing is the most painful, error laden process known to man
-There is no 'easy' way to transfer your contacts or calendar from your current Treo
-Your software choices will be about 1/10000 what they were
-There are so few people with the P910 that support is rather poor. At least when the Treo has a problem, there's some public outcry.
-Keyboard on the P910 is intended for rare-to-occassional use. If you are a regular keyboarder thumber, it will break on you.

If it were still possible, I would return my P910. Regular operation is fine, reception is clear, and the OS is stable. But add a contact and sync with outlook = nothing, or maybe it will add a second record for the contact, or maybe it will add the contact record, but no info. Calendar entry? Sure! In fact, we'll make 2! You wanted one? Too bad! Oh, and let's set the default to always use an alarm. Lots of problems with regular PIM usage.

Hrmm... maybe I will try contact SE about returning it... thuroughly unhappy with my decision.

I've never had any of the problems that you are having with syncing. My P900 never had problems syncing. And I actually felt that I had more usable software on the P900 than the Treo. Plus there's alot more freeware (which is more stable than most of the paid apps on Palm) than the Palm has.

Hey.. I'll trade you my Treo 650 for your SE P910a
