Hello I have followed the sticky on uploading videos via the USB cable and am not having any luck. I triple checked all the encoding settings and they are all correct. The files shows up but has a red x on it and when i try to play the video nav icon takes up the whole screen for a few secs then it says unable to play clip. Im using STOIK and have tried the tutorial settings and some other settings and it is the same prob each time.

Can anyone lend a hand?

Anybody successfully do this?

I had the same problem. All that I did was use the exact same options in the sticky thread but didn't use capital letters in the filename. Then it worked. I read on one of the other threads that someone else had the same problem. Try using all lower case and see what happens.

I cant get the program to work. Any one knows why? It just stops responding and turns off by it self.

My program is working ok but I could not use the settings in the guide. I had to use the preset WMV for Dial up (28.8) setting and the only thing I could change was the bitrate to 100k, then after keeping the name lower case it worked perfectly... so the settings i used were

160x120
12 computer play
5000 buffer
100 k bitrate
10 key frame spacing

Audio
Lowest audio quality
5000 buffer

Im going to try a higher audio rate today... I think the big factor was using 12fps instead of 15 and the lower bitrate.

On a side note the guide said it had no success in putting anything other than .wmv on the and a proper mpeg or avi convertor could not be found.

In STOIK i loaded up an mpeg and just saved it as a wmv with the above settings and it plays...the audio is a bit out of snyc but it works!

Update: In other posts the max length of video uploaded has been around 11 and a half minutes....

With the above setting I was able to upload episode 4 of Macross Plus which comes in at about 45 minutes (took a long time to upload) Let it also be said that it was orig an AVI file and STOIK coverted it perfectly with no audio lag problems.

I had to clean out my other video because it looked like the phone ran out of RAM. I have about 20 ringtones, 2 giffs, 3 recorded flix, 45 jpegs and the 26mb Macross episode.

Not too bad.

I still need to try and increase the audio quality...It sounds like R-2 is in the background getting pissed off.

Now if we could only get the .wmv's on the SD card we would be jamming! (Have not got my card yet to try out)

Hope this info helps!

Success again! This time I kept all the previous settings but here is what I found...

up to 192 K bitrate on video (I actually type in the K wouldnt work without it)

and I am using the highest Mono CBR audio quality which is I think 48kbps 44khz.

Now we are talking! I cleaned out all but about 10 ringtones and I think I have about 30-40mb of videos on the phone.

Just need a SD card now to try it out!

Lets figure this phone out!
