8000 data cable problem

my data cable for my 8000 worked at first and then i changed some settings in the secret menu and now my computer cant recognize my phone. the only settings im pretty sure i changed were the dun, and w/o dmod or something, i was wondering if any of these directly effect my phone communicating with my computer and if not if anyone has any tips? TIA

DUN has to show "enabled". I don't know what dmod is.

alright i did that and now bit pim says there was a problem transitoning from none to brew. what should i do now?

What is it that you want to do with your cable and your phone?

just hook it up to bitpim so i can transfer mp3's to it. i have used bitpim before but now when trying to pull up the filesystem it take a couple minutes and then says error transitioning from none to brew.
