Data Pilot installation problems

I'm a newbie to all of this. Can anyone tell me if I can use Data Pilot with a cable other than theirs? I get part way through installing the drivers and I keep having to restart my system. I have an lg vx4650 (verizon) and I am using the vx4700 model listed.

I believe with software like DatapilotPC, FutureDial, and Mobile Action you need to use their cables and drivers. Though from my experience you are able to use DatapilotPC's cables with QPST and Bitpim.

Data Pilot does not yet support the 4650 phone. I have had the software for 4 weeks now, and they still do not support that phone. I was told 3-weeks ago by them that they would be supporting it in 2-weeks, but still nothing. Call data pilot and complain.

We have been using Generic eBay Cables with DataPilot For A While Now and with several different phones with no problem.

I am using DataPilot with the 4650; no problems now.

DataPilot Version 4.3.0 supports the 4650.
