QPST & Phonebook on VX8000?

Hi all,
Can someone tell me how to backup/retrieve/update the phonebook for the LG VX8000 using QPST? I couldn't get BitPim to work with my phone after reading the VX8000 and BitPim FAQ and even using the latest version off of their site. I managed to get QPST working (after reading the corresponding FAQ) with picts, mp3, movies, ring tones but not the phonebook. I've already done a search on the forum but didn't locate any threads talking about this specific issue so if someone could please shed some light on this that'd be great. TIA!
