What companies (Web sites) buy old cell phones?

Earlier this year, I read in one of these sub-forums (I think in Verizon Wireless) that there are at least two companies that buy old cell phones. Basically, they just want the phone without the battery. But I don't remember those companies.
Someone I know wants to sell a phone that has a dead battery. Does anyone know their Web sites? I know one can try EBaying it, too, but it might be hard to sell a cell phone that has no functional battery. Thanks in advance.
