OK, so i just bought the cdm 8940, and i have taken pictures with it and then set them, so that when someone calls it will show their picture. But i want to know why it doesnt show their picture on the outter LCD screen, and how can i do that?

This phone does not have that feature. It will only show the picture on the inside.

So the only thing you can do is turn off active flip;
settings, others, answer options, active flip

menu, 7,5,1,2

I know right you think its got a full color screen on the outside with picture taking capabilities why not add the external pic caller id? I think it may have something to do with how much of the pic is cropped. Try taking a pic with self portrait then viewing the pic, significantly different. I bet they couldn't fix that easily and the easiest option was to not include that feature. But who knows overall awesome phone, SD card is useful unlike LG 8100, thats nice good luck!!!
