Well thanks to this lovley forum and all your advice i did it!!
ive installed a 3.5mm stereo jack into the mic bit
check it out!!

AWSOME.. now i can hook it into anything i want.. earphones stereo ect...

Very nice, but when you use the stock Ipod earphones it defeats the purpose...
