LG VX6000 wap and .MID issues.

I have searched and searched and theres so much scattered information out there, and no concerete info. Im having extreme issues trying to set the WAP for the VX6000 phone. Ive sucessfully set up a VX6100 and even set up my own proxy server. Can someone link me to WORKING instructions on how to do both? I got the ringer down, but it will never let me save it because its "over 30k", i even shortened the ring to 20 seconds.. 
please help!
