I just got this phone yesterday and I was trying to enter in all the information. When I try to go online, I get a message "Error: Connection to server lost". I don't know what is the problem and if someone could help, I'd really appreciate it. I can send SMS right now but I can't find where settings go for MMS.

Under Profile Settings, these are the options I have and what I input:
Profile Name: Cingular WAP
Home URL: http://device.home
Bearer: GPRS Only
Proxy: Enable

(Then there are 2 more submenu options - GPRS settings and GSM settings)
GPRS Settings
Proxy IP: 66.209.11.61
Proxy Port: 8080
APN: wap.cingular
LoginID: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1

GSM Settings
I didnt put anything here.

Ok. Somehow I managed to get online for one download but as I keep trying to connect to sites, I all of the following messages sporadically:

1. Connection to server lost
2. Error: request timed out
3. Http Error 400: Bad Request
4. Http Error 500: internal server error

Sometimes when I Retry, it connects but most of the time it doesn't do anything. I'm about ready to send the phone back because I am also getting really low signal strength.

Can anyone tell me what I should do? It's driving me crazy!

All of your settings are correct except your proxy IP should be 66.209.11.32

This setting worked for me on my e720
