VX8100 Uploading wallpaper via BITPIM

I am trying to upload wallpaper to my LG VX8100, but cannot see them on the phone once complete. I am putting the jpg files in the \brew\16542\mp directory. I reboot the phone, but cannot see them under Wallpaper on the phone. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I have also resized them to the specified size that I got from this forum.

I have also tried to upload them to the \brew\16452\lk\mp directory, but cannot see them there.

no luck here either??? i tried BITPIM and QPST, neither worked

One thing I found out is once you upload the wallpaper, you need to delete the wallpaper.bit file that is in the \dload directory and reboot the phone. The pics will show up then.

I did this a few times, but the last time, that wallpaper.bit file did not show back up last time I rebooted. What can I do to get that file back?

Figured it out. You need to delete the \dload\image.dat file and not the wallpaper.bit file. All is working now.

after about 36/37 images it stops updating for me even if i delete image.dat
