brand new .. no new modifications or fixes ... running whatever it came like out of the box brand new ...

it tells me there is a new SMS message everytime i turn the phone on when there really isnt ... then i go delete all the message in my inbox and it still says (1) in the SMS category ...

does anyone kno if this is a bug or what is going on here ?????

is there an update i should use on my phone that is manditory ????

Hard reset your phone: Power off the phone, hold the blue button and at the same time press the power button and select yes to master reset.

Note: Hard resetting your device will cause it to revert to the state in which it was manufactured.

yes i done that previously ... and the same problem has occured again after the last hard reset ... it seems to happen when the phone sends me a text message about a new voice mail only ... ?????? anyone have this problem or have a solution to this problem ?

Then that is a carrier problem or your settings in Start, Settings, Phone are not correct. Go thru them and make sure there isn't a setting that sends a text message when you get a new voice mail, or it could be that your new text message icon is not going away because of a carrier issue.
